Not a Sell-out!

I was just over at a colleague's desk showing him the blog and I was shocked to see an ad on the site. I must look like the biggest sell-out ever, considering the post where I specifically guaranteed that this blog would remain ad-free.

I did a Google search and came across the following explanation:

Sometimes, your readers might notice an ad on one of your WordPress blog pages. There is no reason for panic. As WordPress is a free service, they sometimes display discreet advertisements in the blogs, for the purpose of keeping the free features free.

Hopefully I haven't lost any credibility over this :)
